V prvi tretjini 17. stoletja so se v mestu naselili minoriti, ki so si pri Marijini cerkvi uredili samostan. Samostansko stavbo so v drugi polovici 17. stoletja povečali. Leta 1786 je bil samostan razpuščen. Še pred koncem 18. stoletja je poslopje kupil usnjarski mojster A. Nasko in južni trakt podaljšal proti zahodu. Leta 1929, ko so bile v samostanu nastanjene šolske sestre, so vzhodni trakt in starejši del južnega trakta dvignili za nadstropje in poenotili fasade.

In the first third of the 17th century the monastic order of the Friars Minor Conventual inhabited the town and founded a monastery next to St. Mary’s church. The monastery building was enlarged in the second half of the 17th century, but in 1786 the monastery was dissolved. Before the end of the 18th century the building was bought by the master leatherer A. Nasko who extended the southern wing westwards. In 1929, when the school sisters stayed in the monastery, the eastern wing and the older part of the southern wing were raised by one floor and the style of the façades was harmonised.
