Mestno obzidje

Originally the benefice house, then the chaplaincy, and now a private residential building, the “Old Chaplaincy” dates back to 1747. It was built by the then parish priest of Slovenska Bistrica, Caspar Johann Zamlik. The house stands out owing to its high extension with an open ground floor porch covered with a cross vault. On the upper floor of the extension there was once a chapel dedicated to the Holy Family. The area is covered by a shallow dome vault, which is supported by four pilasters, the capitals of which are decorated with stucco ornamentation. The scene of the flight into Egypt is still visible on the vault paintings.
