Enonadstropna hiša je bila od devetdesetih let 18. stoletja v lasti družine Formacher (von Formacher auf Lilienberg), katere člani so v Slovenski Bistrici več kot sto let opravljali službo poštnih mojstrov. Ob poštnem so vzdrževali tudi potniški promet med Mariborom in Slovenskimi Konjicami. Današnji videz v jedru baročne hiše je v glavnem rezultat prezidave, o kateri priča portal z letnico 1843 na dvoriščni strani.

Since 1790 this two-story building had been in the possession of the Formacher family (von Formacher auf Lilienberg), whose members worked as post masters in Slovenska Bistrica for more than a hundred years. In addition to the post, they were also responsible for passenger transport between Maribor and Slovenske Konjice. The present appearance of the originally Baroque house is mostly the result of a reconstruction, as attested by the portal on the courtyard side which has the year 1843 inscribed on it.
